Another Week Gone By
And here it is Friday again, it came much faster this week. This week was in full swing, all classes a-go and projects and assignments already completed. Last weekend I was able to experience a little bit of what the city has to offer in Architecture and also in its culture and nightlife. And I have to say, after touring Casa Batllo I have really learned to appreciate A. Guadi and his work.
During the packed week we, as a class, ventured over to the Forum- which is building in an area that was developed during the '92 Olympic Games. With high rise buildings giving a modern look to the city, all set along the water front - you would have never felt like you were in Barcelona. Since then, I have decided to focus my blog on the outskirts of the city itself. Not the old city- Barri Gotic or the modern grid that has since been laid in around the city, but rather the parts at the stretch of the city- the water, the mountains, the countryside.... the edges of town.
